Insulating Joint

Corrosion control of pipes by cathodic protection in the field of fluids transferring (e.g. petroleum and gas) is of a very special importance, but there are some industries which no need to such these protection but to need being electrical insulated.

The notable parameter in producing the insulating joint (IJ) is utilizing the forged flanges instead of casting ones, the reason is that their working and test pressures are high. High amount of mentioned pressures in addition to hydro-bending test during insulating joint producing which is performed in order to simulate the real operating condition of IJ, promote the importance of them to be made by forging method. So, there is need such this significant parameter to be considered by worshipful inspectors.

Insulation Joint used in oil and gas industries are mostly exposed to some stresses such as longitudinal stress, environmental stress and bending stress during their exploitations, so, such these factors are considered by HADIDSA's specialists and experts when designing the insulating joint.

To ensure proper function of these products under stressful environment, all the IJs which are produced at HADIDSA should successfully pass all examinations defined by IGS and IPS standards and there is need that their insulation resistance should be proved by Megger and Hi-Pod tests before and after hydrostatic and bending test as well. These tests have successfully performed in HADIDSA Co. which reflects not only high quality of produced goods by HADIDSA but also their long shelf life in various applications which finally lead the employers to lower costs of maintenance.

Now HADIDSA's Insulating Joints up to size of 24" Class 600 are located in Iran national Gas Company's Main Vendor List and can be utilized.
